Raised in a small community Michael Rule grew up surrounded by family friends and8232 hard-working neighbours. He was born and raised in Honeywood Ontario. 8232It was in the village of Honeywood that Michael spent much time in the 8232family general store where his grandfather was a butcher as was his father.8232“I spent a lot of time in both the hospital and in the general store but music was always a big8232 part of my childhood. Dad turned me on to music. He would sing and play the guitar so 8232that’s where I got my love of music.”
Later adventure came calling and Rule answered. As a young man he went to Texas 8232University to become a firefighter graduating from the air rescue program. Soon he took8232up work as a fireman in Bermuda for a few years. Next he moved to Yellowknife becoming a 8232third generation butcher. Yet nothing was strong enough to keep Michael Rule from 8232returning to his s. Not even a tornado.
In 2007 Rule set out on the long road home from Yellowknife Northwest Territories to 8232Grey County Ontario. He pulled everything he owned in a trailer behind his car. Michael8232 was nearly home when a twister destroyed his vehicle possessions and sliced off the tip of his8232finger . The only thing that survived the storm was his guitar. Music had never left Rule’s8232heart and this was a sign he couldn’t ignore. So Michael began his career in music.
Michael’s mission is two fold: to sing music straight from his heart and to inspire people to8232follow their dreams regardless of obstacles and setbacks.
